Thank goodness for long layovers! Our 4 hour layover evaporated quickly when there was an issue with our boarding passes - according to our tickets everything was fine but yheir computer showed 2 tickets for Eric and no ticket for Harmony. After 30+ minutes, we had boarding passes, only to have them rejected at security due to unknown reasons. We eventually did make it through with 20 minutes to spare. Phew!!!
The lounge access with our Chase Sapphire card has been great. Lian ate an enormous amount of food at both the SFO lounge and the Shanghai lounge (where we spent our 20 extra minutes eating free food *grin*).

Happy to hear that everything worked out eventually and everyone got fed. Did you have to use your Mandarin to get the job done?
